Notes from the Sculptor

The prototype of this JSM Special Edition helmet was designed using 3D technology and intended to show the inside of this well-known helmet for diorama and model scenes (rather than being placed on a figure head).

Here I have gone to the limits in creation and casting and this item is quite thin in places. Care should be taken when handling / painting, as the helmet thickness is very thin. The gaps underneath the helmet liner are filled out and the casting is in the normal light grey resin.

The difference between this Pistol 08 and the one below is that here I used 3D application to create the master model, with added details to rear of holster.

Note: The Germans never called this weapon the Luger – this is an anglicised name.
